The most recent implementation being within a life sciences biopharmaceutical setting, where material traceability and historical data collection is required by global government regulatory agencies and law enforcement and critical for end-user safety to ensure patients receive only genuine medicines.
This client is utilizing the PI server historian to obtain important data from equipment within their manufacturing process. The solution has allowed for robust continuous manufacturing material tracking in support of batch release, product serialization, and traceability.
