Flexware Innovation’s in-person Ignition training program is getting a major refresh, with new classes coming January 2026.
This update aligns Flexware’s offerings with Inductive Automation’s newly enhanced Ignition curriculum. The refreshed program features basic and intermediate courses, ensuring you get hands-on experience tailored to where you are in your Ignition journey.

What’s New in Ignition Training
To align with the new skill-based structure, there will now be five classes in the Ignition training program. The current Perspective course will be split into two classes: Responsive Design in Perspective and CSS in Perspective. And, there will be two levels of Databases and Scripting. Level 1, Intro to Databases and Scripting, focuses on SQL and Python fundamentals, and Level 2, Using Databases & Scripting in Projects, dives deeper into advanced applications.
Class structures are also evolving. The Core Class will remain a five-day course, while others will shift to shorter formats. The Databases and Scripting classes will move from five days to four, while CSS in Perspective will be two days and Responsive Design in Perspective will be three. This makes it possible to take both Perspective courses within the same week.
Along with these structural changes, the learning experience itself is getting an upgrade. Instead of saving lab work until the end of each day, hands-on exercises and practice will now be woven throughout the sessions, reinforcing key concepts as you learn them.
As part of Inductive Automation’s updates, lab work will no longer be included in the certification process. Both Core and Gold certifications will now be earned by passing a test, allowing classes to focus more on skill development and mastery. For those preparing for Core certification, the Core Class is recommended, and a free attempt is allotted when attending a class. For participants pursuing Gold Certification, the advanced courses are encouraged.
