Industry 4.0 introduces new emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) to combat rising labor costs and stiff competition. Some manufacturers are also adopting location-aware technology enablers such as real-time location systems (RTLS). According to a report by Zion Market Research, the global RTLS market is expected to increase from $2.37 billion in 2017 to $11.81 billion in 2024.
Location systems like RTLS improve operational efficiency and safety while reducing costs by eliminating paper and tracking assets. It has the potential to enhance the entire manufacturing process, from manufacturing to delivery and even supply chain management. Because it can track assets such as tooling, RTLS can identify calibration and repair tools on the shop floor. Warehouse workers can also benefit from RTLS when navigating racking. It is undeniably valuable.
Despite growing global demand for RTLS, most manufacturers are still unaware of the technology’s capabilities. As a result, we’re excited to announce an upcoming executive briefing on September 22, 2021 in Fishers, IN, where you’ll be able to learn about RTLS implementations and advancements. Flexware and Ubisense will demonstrate the benefits of RTLS and explain how it is used in practice. Lunch will be served, and attendees will have the opportunity to network with RTLS engineering experts and their peers.
This event has ended, but we’ve made available
recordings of presentations and use-case demonstrations.
